ABOUT THE WEBSITE

As Technical Secretariat of the Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labour (IACML) and in support of the Troika, the Unit for Social Development and Education of the Organization of American States opens this virtual space for use by Ministerial representatives, civil society organizations, and international entities.
This virtual space is intended to facilitate discussion among the Member States regarding the Declaration and Plan of Action of Salvador and to provide a space for information related to the Conference.
By using the medium of the Internet the Technical Secretariat hopes to reduce participation costs and increase the level of interaction among the Member States and relevant civil society and international organizations


I reiterate to all of you my wish to receive you soon in the city of Salvador, Bahia State, to the celebration of the Minister Reunion of the XIII Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor of the Organization of American States, from 24 to 26 of the current month.

Your presence in our country will represent a special opportunity to strengthen our personal bonds, to deepen knowledge about labor crucial issues and to respond in a effective way to the present and future labor challenges in our hemisphere. I am sure that the Minister Reunion will result in important advances to the labor issue in the Americas and to the strengthen of the Labor Ministries role in the construction of more prosperous, just and solidary societies.
