Welcome to the web page of the Inter-American Committee on Education, a virtual space that was specifically created for the Committee's use by its Technical Secretariat, the Division for Education and Culture.
The Inter-American Committee on Education's (CIE) main objective is to strengthen and reinforce Inter-American dialogue in order to support the creation of policies and develop collaborative actions in the area.
Also, the CIE provides follow-up on the mandates of the Summit of the Americas as well as those accords reached in the Meetings of Ministers of Education. In addition, it seeks to identify multilateral initiatives and contribute in the execution of OAS policies dealing with partnerships for Education.
The Technical Secretariat offers this space to the members of CIE in order to follow-up on mandates that the Committee receives, to facilitate dialogue among member states and to provide a channel for permanent communication. In these pages one shall find information regarding:
• Mandates that CIE has received
• Thematic areas in which CIE works,
• A Virtual Forum that the Secretariat has put at the disposal of member states to maintain a fluid and permanent dialogue.
This site will be enriched and nourished by your valuable contributions and in turn shall strengthen a collegial, committed and solid endeavor among OAS Member States.
