		Foro de la Sociedad Civil en preparaci�n de la XXXIII Asamblea General de la OEA This publication presents the results of the meeting �Civil Society and Governability. Civil Society Forum in the context of the XXXIII OAS General Assembly�, organized by FLACSO-Chile in coordination with the OAS Secretary General (UPD-Summit of the Americas Secretariat), that took place in June 7, 2003. The purpose of this consultation process that gathered more than 50 civil society organizations� was to evaluate the major challenges that faces the region regarding governability issues; including three mayor dimensions: political and institutional strengthening, economic and social development, and social inclusion. Furthermore, this meeting is part of an integral process of civil society inclusion into the activities of the Organization of American States.
