Tortuguero National Park

The Park is located 258 Km. (160 mi.) from San Jose and 84 Km. (52 mi.) northwest of the city of Limon

The Park encloses one of the largest and most important nesting sites in the world for the Green turtle (tortuga verde), the Hawksbill (tortuga Carey), with its distinctive hooked beak; and the ridged leatherback (tortuga Baula), the largest turtle in the world.
