San Juan Del Norte - Greytown
Nicaragua

Indigenous house on the canal dredged by the end of the XIX century
Creek on the vicinity of the San Juan del Norte Lagoon
Access dock to the old city of Greytown founded in 1546. Greytown was destroyed by the beginning of the 1980's and 10 years later, its inhabitants were resettled on the shores of the Indio river, at its mouth, about 1,000 meters from its original location.
One of the two dredges used by the end of the XIX century to construct an interoceanic canal. The other dredge sank in the San Juan del Norte Lagoon.

The construction began in 1895 but only 3 kms were dredged before the project was stopped.
