Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is the supreme body, main
responsible for the orientation of the Project actions, the follow-up and
overall supervision of the execution of the Project. In addition, it
oversees the undergoing actions based upon the set forth objectives.
Responsibilities of the Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for:

Provide orientation for the
fulfillment of the objectives of the Project.

Approve the Work Program and
Budget of the Project, and those of the different components, basic
studies, and demonstration projects.

Approve the terms of reference
of the Technical Coordinators, basic studies, and demonstration projects.

Approve expenditures and
operational reports.

Review periodically the
Project priorities and provide recommendations for their establishment.

Exam periodically the Progress
Reports.

Foster working agreements and
coordination with other projects that are being executed in the Project
area.

Facilitate and promote the
participation of regional organizations, international cooperation
agencies, donor countries, development banks, international NGOs, etc.,
in order to ensure their commitment in the exaction phase of the SAP.
