 Costa Rica and Nicaragua .
This component is designed to remedy shortcomings in institutions working
at the local and national levels, and to encourage enhancement of
binational coordination between institutions within the SJRB as well as to
ensure that the SAP prescribed actions are incorporated into national
policies. Technical meetings, bringing together MINAE and MARENA personnel
and cooperative research efforts between universities and other
institutions of both countries, will be promoted. Current institutional
arrangements and the role they play in the management of the San Juan
River Basin will be reviewed. This component is complementary to component
