For sixty years the Rowe Fund has contributed to the social and economic development in Latin America and the Caribbean region, through its interest-free educational loans. The beneficiaries of these loans have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and gain an international experience that can later be applied in their own home countries. Many of the beneficiaries who, over the years, have received Rowe Fund loans have gone on to occupy key positions in their countries' public sectors, academia, the arts, and business. The professional and personal benefits that our ex-beneficiaries have obtained are reflected in the results of a survey conducted in 2007 by the Rowe Fund. This survey shows how our loans have helped a number of our beneficiaries become leaders of the Americas over a broad spectrum of fields. Thus, Rowe Fund loan program of the Organization of American States has supported the cultural enrichment that training abroad provides to students and the potential benefits that this training may bring to their countries. To read about what the Rowe Fund beneficiaries are doing to assist in their country's development and how their studies in the US changed them as individuals and as professionals, click here.
