Amount of the Loan:

The maximum amount lent to a student is US$7,500 per loan and US$15,000 in total during the course of the studies for which the loan is granted.  Except in cases of emergencies, not more than US$7,500 will be granted to a student during any six-month period.

From the loan amount, 0.5% will be deducted at the time of disbursement as insurance, so that the loan will be considered fully paid in the event that the student dies before repaying the loan.
