About the Forum...

The Global Forum on Trade on Technical Assistance and Capacity Building for Trade and the Environment is an outreach event on the development dimension of trade and environment. This event is being organized by the Trade Directorate of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) with collaboration of the Office for Sustainable Development and Environment of the OAS,  and the support of the government of Costa Rica, through its Ministries of Foreign Trade and Environment and Energy.

The Global Forum aims to achieve fruitful dialogue between OECD and non-OECD countries and will provide an opportunity to consider the important roll played by technical assistance and capacity building in helping developing-country governments and industries to meet environmental requirements affecting their exports, and to benefit from trade in the fast-growing markets for environmental goods and services.
