The Inter American Observatory of Cultural Policies attempts to be, among other things, a wide network of institutions, academic centers, government entities and civil society organizations of all countries in the Americas, which are devoted to the compilation of information, research, design of indicators or the promotion of cultural policies and cultural diversity.

To consolidate this network it is necessary to know which are these institutions, where they are, and what they do. In this section of the web page you will be able to find this information for every country in the Hemisphere.

The information which is compiled in this section arises from a preliminary mapping which was carried out in the Feasibility Study for the Observatory, and in many cases it has been updated and enhanced by other countries. This mapping is not definitive and will keep on being completed as more information is sent to us.
