The OIG is responsible for receiving and investigating allegations of unethical behavior or misconduct of staff or corrupt or fraudulent activities involving financial transactions processed by GS/OAS staff and performance contractors through the OAS. 202-458-6888 Executive Order 05-8 establishes the General Secretariat’s written policy that provides protection for whistleblowers and witnesses. This policy strictly prohibits retaliation against any staff member for reporting an allegation of fraud or corruption or a violation of a mandate or rule or regulation of the General Secretariat. Moreover, requests for confidentiality or anonymity when presenting an allegation will be honored.
