ACCREDITATION OPEN FOR MEDIA TO COVER OAS GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN FORT LAUDERDALE

With the hemisphere’s foreign ministers set to gather in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, June 5-7 for the Organization of American States’ regular General Assembly session, all media organizations interested in covering the conference are invited to apply online, to be accredited to same.

The accreditation process for the media is now open on the web: www.oas.org/xxxvga.

The inaugural session will take place on Sunday, June 5, in the Grand Floridian Ballroom of the Convention Center.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will chair the three-day meeting that brings together the foreign ministers of the Americas. This marks the first time since 1974 that the U.S. is hosting an OAS General Assembly, the Organization’s highest decision-making forum.
