The Natural Hazards Project (NHP), a division
of the Office for Sustainable Development and Environment
(OSDE) of the Organization of American States
(OAS), lends support to the member states of the OAS to assess their
vulnerability to natural hazards and mitigate the effects of disasters. Its
activities include technical assistance, training and technology transfer
through intervention in development planning and project formulation. Among
its current areas of interest are floods, school buildings, and
transportation corridors. A full list of projects is presented in the NHP Catalogue.
