THE SECRETARY GENERAL,

    In the exercise of the powers conferred upon him by articles 114 and 118 of the Charter and articles 4, 8 and 11 of the General Standards to Govern the Operations of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States, and

CONSIDERING,

    That, by resolution AG/RES. 1063/90, the General Assembly requested the Secretary General to establish within the General Secretariat a Unit for Democratic Development.

    That, it is necessary to make adjustments on the Secretariat.

RESOLVES:

1.    To eliminate the Advisory Group as an administrative dependency of the General Secretariat.

2.    This Executive Order supersedes all present norms, regulations and practices of the General Secretariat to the contrary.

3.    This Executive Order shall take effect on the date on which it is signed.
