EXECUTIVE ORDER

THE SECRETARY GENERAL, In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Articles 115 and 119 of the Charter of the Organization and Articles 8 and 11 of the General Standards to Govern the Operations of the General Secretariat, RESOLVES: First: There shall be an Ethics Committee to oversee the interpretation and application of policies with respect to ethics of conduct and conflicts of interest in the General Secretariat, and to advise the Secretary General thereon.
Second: The Ethics Committee shall be composed of the following members:
Third: Repeals and Amendments. This Executive Order supersedes all present norms, rules, regulations and practices of the General Secretariat to the contrary and expressly repeals Secretary General Memorandum No. 89/77, dated July 6, 1977, and Secretary General Memoranda 105/81 through 108/81. All provisions in Administrative Memorandum No. 58 Rev. 1, dated September 20, 1977, inconsistent with the provisions of this Executive Order are also hereby repealed. Fourth: Effective Date. This Executive Order shall take effect on the date on which it is signed.
