EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 83-1
SUBJECT:  AMENDMENT OF THE STAFF RULES

 

EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 83-1 was superseded by Executive Order 96-2 of February 29, 1996. For that reason, Executive Order is not included. There are, however, other Executive Orders that although, superseded have been copied in their entirety

THE SECRETARY GENERAL,

In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Article 115 of the Charter of the Organization and Article 8 of the General Standards to Govern the Operations of the General Secretariat,

WHEREAS

Through resolution AG/RES. 632 (XII-0/82), the General Assembly authorized the Secretary General to put into practice a number of measures related to the General Secretariat's personnel policy after obtaining the guarantee that the agreed-upon measures are accepted the staff, without any qualification or reservation whatever; and

Bearing in mind the provisions of that resolution, the Secretary General and the Chairman of the Staff Association, on behalf of the staff Committee, signed an agreement on May 10, 1983, which was ratified through a referendum by the staff on May 25, 1983,

RESOLVES:

First: To amend the Staff Rules in accordance with this Executive Order so as to incorporate therein the amendments provided for in that agreement.: To amend the Staff Rules in accordance with this Executive Order so as to incorporate therein the amendments provided for in that agreement.
