ADMINISTRATIVE MEMORANDUM NO. 94
SUBJECT:
RESCISSION OF ADMINISTRATIVE MEMORANDUM NO. 89, ENTITLED MEASURES TO ENSURE THAT OBLIGATED FEMCIDI FUNDS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE FIFTEEN PERCENT CONTRIBUTION TO THE REGULAR FUND A SECOND TIME IF THOSE FUNDS ARE DEOBLIGATED AND REPROGRAMMED

CONSIDERING,

     That on November 15, 1999, the General Assembly, by way of Resolution AG/RES. 3 (XXVI-E/99), amended certain provisions of the General Standards, including then Article 74 on contributions to the Regular Fund from other funds for technical supervision and administrative support, to facilitate the operations of the Inter-American Agency for Cooperation and Development;

     That the General Assemblys 1999 amendment of Article 74 of the General Standards, which is now Article 75, obviated the need for Administrative Memorandum 89 because Article 75 specifically provides detailed provisions for assuring that FEMCIDI obligations, if deobligated or otherwise unexpended, are not subject to the contribution for technical supervision and administrative support to the Regular Fund a second time;

THE DECISION:

     1. Administrative Memorandum No. 89 is hereby rescinded.

     2. The rescission of Administrative Memorandum No. 89 is effective prospectively from the date this Administrative Memorandum is signed, and retroactively to January 1, 2000, the day Resolution AG/RES. 3 (XXVI-E/99) entered into effect.
