Rubén D. Rudolph Jr. is an attorney who joined the Department of Legal Services in October 2006.  Prior to starting work with the OAS General Secretariat, Rubén worked for six years as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Agriculture where he handled administrative litigation of unfair and deceptive trade practices in the cattle and fresh produce industries.  He has also served as an attorney for the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency, and as a county prosecutor in the State of Oregon.  He is a member of the Oregon State Bar.

          Rubén is a Chilean-American and he is bilingual in English and Spanish.  He received his Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University School of Law in 1996.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Technical Journalism, with a Minor in Spanish and a Certificate in Latin American Affairs, from Oregon State University in 1991.  During the course of his studies, Rubén received a Policy Fellowship from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, Inc. of Washington, D.C.  He is married, and lives in Washington, D.C.
