Winnie Hagemeyer Leonardo-Pereira first joined the Department of Legal Services in 2014. Prior to working at the OAS, she was a legal intern at the Inter-American Development Bank and at Veirano Advogados, a large law firm in Brazil, where she worked in the arbitration and litigation department. She has also worked as a student-attorney for the Washington College of Law’s Immigrant Justice Clinic and has published in the area of investment arbitration.

Ms. Hagemeyer received her B.A. in political science, with honors, from the State University of New York at New Paltz, and received her J.D. from the American University, Washington College of Law in May 2015.

Ms. Hagemeyer is a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
