On January 27, 2014, the Ministry for Institutional Transparency and
the Fight against Corruption of the
On that occasion, the Minister for Transparency and Lead Expert from
Bolivia to the Committee of Experts of the OAS Anticorruption
Mechanism (MESICIC), Dr. Nardi Suxo, noted, among other aspects, the
recovery during of more than 3.5 million dollars in 2013, as a
result of the application of the policies related to recovery of
assets in the fight against corruption.
Minister Suxo also highlighted the holding of the “Caravan for
Transparency” as one of the most important achievements of this
Ministry in terms of the prevention of corruption, as well as the
creation of 260 Transparency Units throughout the country and the
holding of the III Transparency Summit under the topic of access to
information, which had the participation of the Technical
Secretariat of the MESICIC, of the OAS Department of Legal
Cooperation.
