During the Regional Workshop hosted by the US Department of Justice, which took place in Medellin, Colombia, on April 6-7, 2016, Mr. Rodolfo Orjales, in his capacity as Chair of the REMJA Working Group (Meetings of Ministers of Justice or Other Ministers or Attorneys General of the Americas) made a presentation on the latest developments within the scope of actions of the REMJA to strengthen international judicial cooperation in preventing, investigating, and sanctioning cybercrime, as well as to facilitate exchange of information and best practices on the subject. The event was aimed at prosecutors and investigators from various Latin America countries.

The REMJA Working Group on Cyber-Crime, which was established in 1999 under the process of Meetings of Ministers of Justice or Other Ministers or Attorneys General of the Americas, is the principal hemispheric forum to strengthen international cooperation in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of cybercrime and for the facilitation of the exchange of information and experiences.
