REMJA TECHNICAL SECRETARIAT PARTICIPATES IN CONFERENCE ON E-ACCESS TO JUSTICE
From October 2 – 3, 2014, a representative of the Technical Secretariat to the Meetings of Ministers of Justice or other Ministers or Attorneys General of the Americas (REMJA) participated in a two-day conference on “E-Access to Justice”, which was hosted by the University of Montreal’s Cyberjustice Laboratory.
This conference brought together international experts, academics and practitioners on e-access to justice, for the purpose of providing an overall portrait of the subject in Canada and around the world. Topics discussed included technologies and interaction in the courtroom; technology, vulnerability and access to justice; and justice values and technology. The representative from the REMJA Technical Secretariat participated in a round table discussion on development and access to justice, and provided an overview of the developments taking place in this subject under the REMJA process.
