     (Interpretative  declarations  made  at  the  time  of ratification)
                                                                              
     It is the interpretation of the Republic of Argentina that the intrinsic validity 
of the power of attorney shall also be governed by the law of the State in which it is to be used.
                                                                              
     With respect to Article 6, it is the interpretation of the Republic 
of Argentina that the expression "the official responsible for legalizing them" refers 
to the official in whose office the document is made or who validates it.

     Article 5                                                                
     The United Mexican States interprets Article 5 of this Inter-American Convention 
to mean that the mandate has been extended with the full scope provided 
for by Article 4 of the Protocol, mentioned in Article 10 of the Inter-American
Convention on the Legal Regime of Powers of Attorney to be Used Abroad.
