    Technical Workshops Following the Fourth Meeting

At its fourth meeting, held on February 27 and 28, 2006, the Group of Governmental Experts on Cyber-Crime, a working group of the REMJA, recommended that training be provided in the management of electronic evidence and that a training program be developed facilitate states link-up to the 24 hour/7 day emergency network established by the G-8 to help conduct cyber-crime investigations.

Pursuant to this recommendation, three OAS Regional Technical Workshops were held during 2006 and 2007, with the first being offered by Brazil and the United States, and the second and third offered by the United States.  The workshops focused on the following regions: South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
