4.6 Criminal Justice System Process - ICCS Crimes Level 1
4.6.4.3 Persons convicted for: Injurious acts of a sexual nature (ICCS 03)
Total number of persons found guilty of “injurious acts of a sexual nature” by any legal body authorized to pronounce a conviction under national criminal law, whether or not the conviction was later upheld. Persons receiving a sentence after plea-bargaining, or in an abbreviated court procedure, should be counted as persons convicted. It should also include persons convicted of serious special law offences but exclude persons convicted of minor road traffic offences, misdemeanours and other petty offences. “Injurious acts of a sexual nature” are those criminal offences defined in Section 03 of the International Classification of Crime for Statistical Purposes (ICCS), UNODC, Mar 2015, pp.50-53.
