Many of us are of the view that further
economic integration and trade liberalization
within the context of ongoing trade negotiations continues to hold great promise
for our peoples.
Vulnerable and small economies require and should be
given time to adjust to competition as our hemispheric trade barriers fall, and
attention must be paid to the real value of special and differential treatment.
