»Brazilian donation funds anti-racism OAS office

With a renewed call for a hemispheric anti-racism convention to be in place the Brazilian government made a contribution of $65,000 to help fund the first year of operations of the newly-created OAS Special Rapporteurship on the Rights of People of African Descent and on Racial Discrimination.
The Brazilian state is now well on the path of combating all forms of discrimination in creating the Special Ministry for Racial Equality, as well as contributing towards the Commission’s history-making initiative on Afro descendants in the Americas. (more)

Each nation is the result of the synthesis of the most diverse historic, political, economic, social, cultural, and even geographic factors, all of which contribute to the nation very concrete specificities. The world’s most stable political systems are those that best express these diverse realities.
