FEMCIDI Funded Projects Successfully Implemented
 

The Management Board of the Inter-American Agency for Cooperation and Development (IACD) approved three projects of which the implementation started in January 2001.  These projects were:
 

1.                  “National Leadership and Job Skills Training” in the amount of US $65,000;

2.                  “Campaign to Educate on Children’s Rights to an Education and to Assist in the Implementation of Human Rights Education in the School Curriculum of Belize” in the amount of US $20,000.

3.                  “Developing Capabilities for Sustainable Tourism in Communities Bordering the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary as Approach to promoting Effective Co-Management,” in the amount of US $85,000.
 

These projects were approved for implementation over a 12 months period.  Projects number 1 and 3 requested an extension of 6 months, which was granted by the Management Board of the IACD.

All 3 projects were successfully executed by their coordinating agencies and the goals and verifiable results or outputs were obtained.
