On November 4, 2020, the IACHR decided to lift these precautionary measures. Upon receiving the request to lift the measures, and having made the corresponding exchanges of information, the IACHR considered that the procedural requirements were not met after approximately 2 years without events of risk. Lastly, the beneficiary is reportedly participating as a presidential candidate and has resigned from his previous position.
