“Cryptocurrencies: Challenges to Cybercrime Investigations and Prosecutions”

Cryptocurrencies have increased their presence in Latin America. From July 2019 to June 2020, there have been more than $8 billion dollars in cryptocurrency transactions in the region. *This session considered the investigative and legal challenges prosecutors encounter when their cases involve a cryptocurrency transaction and their use by criminal organizations.
