Hemispheric Security

In August 2004, the Inter-American Juridical Committee (CJI) approved 16 general principles or norms that regulate OAS action in matters of international peace and security through the resolution “Legal aspects of inter-American security.” The explanation of the principles and norms appears in the following report: Legal aspects of inter-American security: principles or general regulations about the action of the Organization of American States in terms of international peace and security.
