On Monday, March 7, 2016, a
Course on International Refugee Law will take place at the OAS headquarters (1889 F St. NW, Washington, D.C., Ruben Dario Room, 8th floor).
Mandate. OAS
General Assembly resolution 2839 (XLIV-O/14)
"Protection of Asylum Seekers and Refugees in the Americas", which instructed the Permanent Council to organize the course
through the Committee on Juridical and Political Affairs and with support from the Department of International Law of the General Secretariat and the technical and financial collaboration of the UNHCR.
Date and Venue. The
event will take place on Monday, March 7, 2016 at
the headquarters of the OAS: 1889 F St. NW, Washington, D.C., Ruben Dario Room, 8th floor.
Participation. The
course is open to staff of the permanent
missions, staff of the General Secretariat, as
well as for other interested persons.
Languages. The course
will be held in English and Spanish, with
simultaneous interpretation available in the
four official languages of the Organization.

Spaces

Webcast.
The course will not be transmitted live via webcast
due to technical problems.
Certificates of
attendance. Certificates of attendance will
be provided to registered participants who
attend all classes at the physical location of
the course. Certificates will be mailed once the
course is over to the address indicated in the
registration form. Those following the course
via webcast will not be entitled to receive a
certificate.
