OAS launches hybrid refresher Course on Inter-American Juridical System for the Diplomatic Institute of El Salvador


OEA inaugura Curso híbrido de actualización sobre el Sistema Jurídico Interamericano para el Instituto Diplomático de El Salvador

On July 11, 2022, began the hybrid refresher Course on the Inter-American Juridical System for the Diplomatic Institute “Dr. Jose Gustavo Guerrero”, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, which will last one week, ending next Friday, July 15th, 2022.

This initiative is part of the Inter-American Program for the Development of International Law adopted by the OAS General Assembly in 1996 and updated in 2011, these activities also fulfill an OAS mandate to promote training and knowledge exchange with the region’s foreign affairs ministries.

This OAS course will examine, among other topics: the background and evolution of the Inter-American system, private international law and access to justice, international commercial contracts, as well as the most recent OAS developments will be featured.

Those on hand for the opening session included Adriana Mira, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Luz Elena Núñez de Saade, Rector of the Diplomatic Institute "Dr. José Gustavo Guerrero" of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Dr. Dante Negro, Director of the Organization of American States (OAS) Department of International Law, and the OAS Representative in El Salvador, Dr. Juan Carlos Roncal.
