The following page describes actions taken during 2019 regarding multilateral treaties.

On October 17, 2019 the General Secretariat received from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the United States the instrument of accession of the Optional Protocol related to the Inter-American Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, adopted in Managua, Nicaragua, June 11, 1993.

On October 17, 2019 the General Secretariat received from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the United States the instrument of accession of the Inter-American Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, adopted in Nassau, Commonwealth of The Bahamas, on May 23, 1992..

On September 27, 2019, the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States received Note verbale No 123/19 from the Republic of Uruguay by which said country delivered the notification of treaty denunciation of the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (Rio Treaty), in accordance with Article 25 of said Treaty.

On September 3, 2019, Ecuador informed the depository on the designation of Diana Salazar Mendez, Fiscal General del Estado as the central authority for the Inter -American Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters. It was also reported that the point of contact in the field of mutual assistance and extradition would be Patricia Alejandra Carrasco, Director of International Affairs.

On August 6, 2019, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela deposited the instruments of ratification to the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance and its Protocol of Amendment, at the OAS headquarters, in Washington, D.C. United States.

On August 2, 2019, Ecuador informed the depository on the designation of the Secretaría Anticorrupción de la Presidencia de la República as the central authority for the Inter-American Convention Against Corruption.

On July 31, 2019, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela deposited the instrument of ratification to the Inter-American Convention on Human Rights , at the OAS headquarters, in Washington, D.C. United States.

On April 24, 2019, Costa Rica signed the Inter-American Convention against All Forms of Discrimination and Intolerance, at the OAS headquarters, in Washington, D.C. United States

On March 21, 2019, the Republic of Ecuador deposited the instrument of accession to the Inter-American Convention on Protecting the Human Rights of Older Persons, at the OAS headquarters, in Washington, D.C. United States.

On March 7, 2019, the Secretary General of the Organization received the enclosed note, dated February 8, 2019.

On January 15, 2019, Chile signed the Amendment of the inter-American Convention on an International Amateur Radio Permit (IARP), at the OAS headquarters, in Washington, D.C. United States.
