The Committee on Migration Issues (CAM)

The General Assembly, by means of the resolution: AG/RES. 2738 (XLII-O/12) created the Committee on Migration Issues (CAM for its acronym in Spanish) as a standing committee of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI) of the Organization of American States (OAS). This permanent body is tasked to serve as the principal forum of the Organization dealing with migration issues. The CAM was established on July 24th, 2012 CIDI session. The CAM evolved from the Special Committee on Migration Issues (CEAM) of the Permanent Council which operated between April 2008 and June 2012.

Current Authorities (2013-2014):

Chair:  Ana Paola Riveros, Alternate Representative of Mexico (Elected by CIDI during its XXIX regular meeting, held August 27, 2013)

Vice Chair: Wendy Jeannette Acevedo, Alternate Representative of  El Salvador (Elected by the Committee on the 23rd of September of 2013)
