Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Environmental Assessments and Capacity Building
for Trade Liberalization in the Americas: Andean Region
The DSD worked with organizations such as the Peruvian
Society of Environmental Law (SPDA), the Colombian Institute for Environmental
Law (ICDA) and the Ecuadorian Center for Environmental Law (CEDA) to conduct
national environmental assessments in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. These assessments focused on examining
the extent to which domestic markets in the region were likely to change as
barriers to trade fell, as well as the environmental consequences that might be anticipated from these
economically driven effects. In addition, the models examined regulatory effects and ways in which
legal and institutional frameworks (domestic and regional) could address these
changes. These analyses aimed to provide Member States with capacity
building options and realistic policy alternatives that contributed to the environmental sustainability of trade expansion
for the region. The reports are available below only in Spanish.
