Isis Márquez Aveledo

Ms. Isis Márquez has more than 7 years of experience working on sustainable development issues in Latin America. Ms. Márquez has been working in public participation and social aspects of environmental governance, ensuring open access to public information, supporting civil society participation and accountable decision-making, and strengthening policy-making processes.

She has also been part of the team in charge of the monitoring and evaluation of the Environmental Cooperation Agenda of the CAFTA-DR.

In addition, she has vast experience in projects relates to the implementation of environmental commitments and sustainability in trade agreements, policy and project interventions on trade and environment and participatory and community-based approaches. She also has web page editing experience.

Ms. Márquez holds a Master’s degree in Social Economy and Management of Non-Profit Organizations from Universidad de Barcelona, Spain. She is fluent in Spanish, English and has working knowledge of Portuguese.
