Until 2012, MBDC owned the C2C trademark. They are
the original creators of the Cradle to Cradle philosophy that is the
source of inspiration for the development of this Closed Looped Cycle
Production in the Americas project. This US-firm has a
significant track record around the globe dealing with small to
multimillion dollar projects aiming to showcase the viability of
achieving circular economy by designing and manufacturing products,
buildings and other infrastructure based on the C2C design principles to
achieve closing of material loops. MBDC will take the lead on providing
targeted assistance in the process of labeling/certification, capacity
building and other essential requirements to facilitate a proper level
of use and evaluation of Closed Looped Cycle Production methods in each
respective participating nation.

C2C Expo Lab:
The Cradle to Cradle Expo Lab (C2C Expo Lab) is Europe’s principle repository of knowledge, best practices
and clearinghouse in the field of Cradle-to-Cradle design and
manufacturing processes and methods. It also collaborates with the C2C
Product Innovation Institute in
San Francisco
in hosting the world’s largest certified C2C products library and
projects database. C2C Expo Lab will contribute to the project by
hosting the dedicated CLCP website and facilitate the transfer of
knowledge and experience in the USA

U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):
The US-EPA’s Sustainable Materials Management (SMM)
Initiative is a key initiative that focuses on serving human needs by
using/reusing resources most productively and sustainably throughout
their life cycles, from the point of resource extraction through
material disposal. This approach, in line with the Closed Looped Cycle
Production philosophy, seeks to minimize the amount of materials
involved and all the associated environmental impacts, as well as
account for economic efficiency and social considerations. US-EPA will
assist in the process of capacity and awareness building, providing
access to senior EPA experts in the field of SMM to provide targeted
training sessions and facilitate the exchange of knowhow of the
US manufacturing industry with project countries in
the Americas
The National Cleaner Production Center of Colombia (CNPL):
