Collaboration and exchange through outreach activities with countries and experts

The Network of National Coordinators was the chief participant in outreach activities. Email and telephone contact as well as questionnaire distribution was initiated by the Network with several countries. These country exchanges in turn guided the strategic planning of the project.

A Steering Committee for the project was also established, formed by a regional group of senior-level experts in environmental law and policy. A meeting was held following the Caribbean Regional Workshop on Pesticide Stockpiles.

The sub-regional workshops held in the Caribbean and Central America were a good opportunity to communicate and exchange with NGOs, the private and academic sectors, and other members of the civil society. Their contributions to the discussions were greatly appreciated, as reflected in the Workshop Reports.
