Planning Meeting 2014-2015 of the OAS Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML)

Date: February 27 and 28, 2014
Venue: Gabriela Mistral Room, OAS Headquarters - 1889 F Street, NW, Washington, DC

Participants: Ministries of Labor that lead the IACML (Troika: Colombia, El Salvador and Mexico; Chairs and Vice-chairs of the Working Groups: Argentina, Canada, United States, Bahamas, Peru and Barbados), COSATE, CEATAL and representatives from ILO, ECLAC, BID, PAHO, CIM and CISS.

Objectives:

1.  To determine the IACML Calendar of Activities for 2014-2015, that will ensure the implementation of the Declaration and Plan of Action of Medellin

2.  To define responsibilities and financial or in-kind contributions, and ensure the coordination among the main actors of the IACML process (Ministries, COSATE, CEATAL and key International organizations)

3.  To review the financial situation of the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) and decide on the use of contributions received to date
