Planning Meeting 2016-2017 of the Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML) of the OAS

Date: February 25 and 26, 2016

Venue: Gabriela Mistral Room, OAS Headquarters - 1889 F Street, NW, Washington, DC

Participants: Ministries of Labor that lead the IACML (Troika: Mexico, Colombia and Barbados; Chairs and Vice-chairs of the Working Groups: Brazil, Paraguay, Panama, Chile, Canada and Costa Rica), COSATE, CEATAL and representatives from ILO, PAHO, ECLAC, CISS and IDB.

 

Objectives:

1.  To determine the IACML Calendar of Activities for 2016-2017, that will ensure the implementation of the Declaration and Plan of Action of Cancun

2.  To define responsibilities and financial or in-kind contributions, and ensure the coordination among the main actors of the IACML process (Ministries, COSATE, CEATAL and key International organizations)

3.  To review the financial situation of the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) and decide on the use of contributions received to date
