The Chiefs of State and Government of the Americas, gathered at the Special Summit in Monterrey, Mexico on January 13 and 14, 2004, approved the Declaration of Nuevo Leon. This Declaration promotes the achievement of three closely linked and interdependent objectives: economic growth with equity to reduce poverty, social development, and democratic governance.
