Social Protection, poverty and a human rights approach: linkages and tensions

Within the framework of the Inter-American Social Protection Network, the Director of the Department of Social Development and Employment of the OAS, Francisco Pilotti, participated at a workshop organized by ECLAC on “Social Protection, poverty and a human rights approach: linkages and tensions”. The workshop took place November 5-6 in Chile.

The workshop brought together social protection and human rights experts to discuss and analyze social protection and conditional cash transfer program issues, as well as the inclusion of a human rights based approach in the design of social institutions and policies.
