Application period for Session I - 2018 at Country Offices:  Aug. 19  - Sept. 17, 2017

Session I - 2018: February 5 - May 11, 2018

Please read instructions below carefully before entering to the application form

Before you start the application process please be aware that you will be asked to upload support documents to the electronic form (All support documents should be submitted in PDF format; otherwise the electronic system will not be able to accept them). Make sure you obtain all the documents before you start filling out your application. Incomplete Applications will not be taken into consideration.

Note! Please be aware that the OAS does not have Country Offices in all Member States. Only offices enlisted in the Application Form will have interns in the upcoming session. It is not possible to apply to an office that is not enlisted in the application form. We are expecting to receive a large amount of applications, therefore only candidates under serious consideration will be contacted.  


    1.      Electronic application form. 
    2.      Two letters of recommendation, one preferable (not mandatory) from a professor within your area 
             of expertise. The second  letter from an employer or another professor. 
    3.      Academic transcripts.
    4.      If internship will be credited by your university, attach official document from your school.
    5.      Curriculum Vitae/Resume.
Note! CV/Resume with picture will not be accepted and will disqualify your application.

Letters of Recommendation: It is important that the person providing the letter of recommendation includes contact information (e-mail address and telephone number) in case further information is required.

Letters of recommendation that can not be given directly to the student can be emailed to the following email address: internships@oas.org.

If one or both letters are sent by email, please attach a note on your application, informing us of this and provide the contact information of the person writing the letter.

Transcripts: Please DO NOT send copies of your degree certificate. Students, who have access to an un-official transcript, please attached a copy to the form. Make sure to mail the official version to the following address: 1889 F Street NW, Washington, DC, 20006 (or electronically to the email mentioned above).

Incomplete applications will be on hold until all the requirements arrive to the OAS Department of Human Resources.
