Voting by Parts

Article 59

When any delegation so requests, a proposal or amendment shall be voted upon by specified parts. If any delegation opposes such a request, the opposing motion shall be put to a vote, in which case the majority called for in Article 52 shall be required for approval. If voting by parts is accepted, each clause of the proposal shall be voted upon individually. Then the resulting proposal, which will consist of operative clauses approved by majority vote, shall be put to a final vote. When all the parts of a proposal or amendment have been rejected, such a proposal or amendment shall be considered to have been rejected as a whole.
