ORDER OF PRECEDENCE FOR THE THIRTY-FOURTH REGULAR SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES

The Secretariat of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) wishes to advise that, in accordance with Article 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the General Assembly, the order of precedence of member states is established by a drawing of lots in the Preparatory Committee of the General Assembly. The order of precedence for permanent observers is established in the same manner. For the thirty-fourth regular session of the General Assembly, the first member of states in the order of precedence is the United States. The first permanent observer is the European Union.

The two lists of order of precedence have been published in documents AG/doc. 4243/04 and AG/doc. 4244/04.
