OAS Electoral Mission in Dominica Present in all 21 Constituencies of the Country during Today´s General Elections

The Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS/EOM) in Dominica today observed the General Elections in all 21 constituencies of the country.

The observers were present at the polling stations from their opening at 7am and will remain for the counting of the ballots. Ambassador Adam Blackwell, designated Chief of Mission by the Secretary General, José Miguel Insulza, and Deputy Chief, Sara Mía Noguera, visited more than 15 voting centers in six constituencies during the day.

The members of the delegation spoke to poll workers, candidates and police officers, as well as to journalists and citizens of Dominica, to gather their impressions on the electoral process.
