Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

OAS Secretary General Sends Condolences to Saint Lucia on the Passing of Judge Suzie D'Auvergne

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today sent a letter of condolences to the Government and people of Saint Lucia expressing his solidarity for the passing on August 18, of Judge Suzie D 'Auvergne, member of the Administrative Tribunal of the Organization.
In the letter, addressed to the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Kenny Anthony, Secretary General Insulza said that Judge D'Auvergne "lived an exemplary life in the public service and was a leader in promoting access to justice and the rule of law in Saint Lucia and the Caribbean." He also recalled that the OAS "recognized her distinguished career and commitment to justice with her election in 2009 and re-election 2014 as a member of the Administrative Tribunal where she played an important role in ensuring the rights of the staff of the General Secretariat."
Judge Suzie D'Auvergne was Saint Lucia’s Director of Public Prosecutions and was the first woman to be appointed Solicitor General of the country. She was a magistrate of the First and the Second District Court, Judge of the Eastern Caribbean States, and Chairperson of the National Archives Authority and of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Board of that country. She was also head of the Constitutional Reform Commission of Saint Lucia.
