OAS Organizes Kennedy Center Concert by at-Risk Children

The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Art Museum of the Americas, will hold a concert performed by children at social risk from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Haiti, Jamaica, and Saint Lucia. The event will take place on November 30, 2010, at 18:00 EST (23:00 GMT) at the Kennedy Center auditorium in Washington, DC.

“From Neighborhood to Concert Hall” is an initiative sponsored by the Orchestra of the Americas for Social Inclusion (OASIS), an OAS program that educates youth in the art of music to show their virtues and talents, contributing to the reduction of risk factors that cause violent behaviors and school dropout rates.
